Social Media Support 

 Position Overview

Social Media Support - This role supports the Social Media Content Manager with the day-to-day coordination, quality control, approval, publishing, and monitoring of social media content. This position plays an important role in ensuring content is accurate, consistent with internal, brand, state, federal and social media platform guidelines, approved by corporate, and published correctly and on schedule.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple content pieces and deadlines while maintaining a strong understanding of social media best practices.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of social media content.
  • Review and quality-check social media graphics, videos, captions, and other content before publication.
  • Ensure content is accurate, professional, on-brand, and follows established company and corporate guidelines.
  • Write, proofread, and edit social media captions as needed.
  • Coordinate the submission of social media content to corporate for review and approval.
  • Track content submitted to corporate and follow up to ensure approvals are received in a timely manner.
  • Make necessary updates or revisions based on corporate feedback.
  • Schedule and publish approved content across designated social media platforms.
  • Ensure posts are published accurately and according to the established content calendar and schedule.
  • Monitor social media pages for comments, questions, and interactions.
  • Respond to or appropriately route comments and messages in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Escalate sensitive, negative, or customer-service-related comments to the appropriate team member when necessary.
  • Help maintain an organized social media content calendar and approval tracking system.
  • Communicate with the Social Media Content Manager regarding upcoming posts, revisions, approvals, and publishing needs.
  • Assist with maintaining consistency in the company's social media presence across locations and platforms.
  • Stay informed on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
  • Perform other social media and content-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with social media, content coordination, digital marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and other relevant platforms.
  • Comfortable working with content calendars, scheduling tools, and social media management platforms.
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and corporate approval processes.
  • Professional judgment when responding to or escalating social media comments and messages.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Social Media Content Manager, corporate team, and other departments.
  • Creative mindset with an understanding of what makes social media content engaging.
